These days design seems to be a function of making you want to buy something you probably don’t need and probably have already – but this new one looks more modern. Anyway, time was when design meant responding to the need of the user and the being the best fit. The 18th century Air Loom for example – illustrated. Director Stuart Burroughs will be ruminating on the subject with reference to the Anglepoise lamp and so on.
