The Bathford Papermill project is concerned with assessing the museum’s extensive archive of documents relating to the papermill with a particular focus on the First World War.

The primary aim of the project is to examine the social and economic implications of the conflict and its impact on a small rural business with future articles and exhibitions in mind.

Although largely made up of documents received by the papermill, the collection also contains limited examples of correspondence sent by the papermill to other organisations and businesses.
