Believing he killed a fellow officer, an Air Force corporal (George Chakiris) stationed in Britain flees the police.
Released in 1962 and starring George Chakiris (who had just finished filming West Side Story as Bernardo, leader of the Sharks gang), the plot turns on two couples on motorbikes at a transport café, where the girls (not recognising their boyfriends in leathers and helmets) get on the bike of the other’s boyfriend … Romantic confusion all round, and they go to ‘Sevenhills’ (Bath) and ‘Westport’ (Bristol) – some great location sequences in both places.
