“Hello Everyone,
I’m Ellie Bowes, and I’m thrilled to be stepping into the role of Project Coordinator for the ‘Museum Making’ project at the Museum of Bath at Work! With 12 years of experience in Visitor Experience, particularly within heritage sites, I began my career at the Ironbridge Gorge Museums Trust. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to grow my expertise at heritage sites like the SS Great Britain, the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, and St Mary Redcliffe Church. My work has involved managing large teams of staff and volunteers, increasing income, developing interpretation , and enhancing the overall visitor experience. I’m passionate about making history and heritage more accessible and engaging for everyone, and I look forward to contributing to this vision in my new role.
On a personal note, I’m energetic, approachable, and dedicated. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, traveling, painting, and I’ve recently started climbing (though I’m more enthusiastic than skilled!).
If you have any questions or would like to chat informally about the project, feel free to email me at coordinator@museumofbath.org. I’m always happy to have a chat over a cup of tea.
Best wishes, Ellie”
